Once we have restored your old photos, what are you going to do with them? The first thing you need to do is make sure you store them safely – and the best way to do that is to get started right away, as soon as you receive your digital photo files! We’ll usually deliver them on a USB flash drive or provide a link to download them. You could then store them on your computer’s hard drive. While hard drives aren’t the safest place to keep images, there are ways to make sure your photos are safe! Most people will have experienced at least one hard disk crash since they began working with computers, but there are ways to avoid this.
Securely save / backup your restored photos
And now we come to the all-important question of backing up. This is an absolute must if you want to preserve those precious images! It’s a great idea to regularly back up your files to external storage, and most serious photographers – including all professional photographers – do just that! In many cases, it’s to an external drive – either a regular magnetic HDD (hard disk drive) or a faster and more compact (but more expensive) SSD (solid-state drive). Get Them Printed!
There’s nothing quite like seeing an old photo in print. It’s a great way to share it with others, put it in a frame for display, or even include it in a book (especially one covering family events or genealogical records). Photographic prints have been the main way of preserving images since the dawn of photography.
The great thing about our digital photo files is that you can get your photos printed at any printing service of your choice!
We’d also love to print your photos up to A3 on Ilford Gallery Smooth Pearl Paper or comparable ‘fine art’ papers if you’d like! We will print them on our Canon PIXMA PRO-10S.
Showcase Your Restored Photos with Beautiful Framed Enlargements
Our expert restoration services can bring new life to your treasured photos, making them ideal for display as framed enlargements in your home or office. While we specialize in restoring and enhancing your images, there are countless ways you can turn these restored memories into striking focal points.
Framed Enlargements and Display Ideas
Once your image is restored, consider the impact of framing it as an enlargement to reveal every enhanced detail. Enlarging an image requires careful attention to resolution, and while our restoration work ensures your photo is ready for the best possible reproduction, selecting the right size and framing style can further elevate the final piece.
Explore Alternative Printing Surfaces
Think beyond traditional frames! Modern print options such as metal, canvas, or acrylic can give your image a contemporary look and depth. These materials offer unique textures and styles to suit any decor, creating a personalized, meaningful display.
If you opt to frame your enlarged print behind glass, choosing a low-reflective or non-reflective glass can reduce glare and enhance visibility, especially in rooms with bright light. Non-reflective options help showcase the true depth and colour of your image without distractions, ensuring your photo remains the centre of attention.
Create Lasting Keepsakes with Custom Photo Books
Photo books are a wonderful way to preserve and showcase your restored images, turning memories into beautiful, durable keepsakes. With a range of options available from various companies, you can find the perfect style to bring your project to life!
Find the Perfect Photo Book Service
By searching for “photo book services” online, you’ll find a variety of options tailored to different budgets and styles. Each provider typically offers a range of choices that affect pricing, such as book size, page count, paper type, print quality, and binding style, so you can customize your book to match your vision.
Options to Enhance Your Photo Book
Consider add-ons like presentation boxes, sleeves, or custom covers to elevate the look and durability of your photo book, enhancing both its aesthetic appeal and longevity. These additions may increase the overall cost but add significant value, making your book an even more cherished piece.
Convenient Reprints and Multiple Copies
If you’d like to share your photo book with others, many services offer discounts when ordering multiple copies. Additionally, some companies keep your book design on file, allowing you to reorder or even make updates to your book’s content or cover in the future.
